Thank you...

A massive heart felt thank you to all the artists that have always shown faith in me, given me endless advice, critique and hope. It means so much to me and always will.

Life And Death...

An elegant portrayal of the contrast between life and death. This pencil drawing is A3 and its going to the printers next week. If you're interested in grabbing yourself a limited giclee print then email me- sweethearttattoo@gmail.com

A Few Tattoos...

A massive thank you to Linnet for coming to get this cute little owl tattooed :) I really enjoyed doing it and am so happy with its outcome! I'm designing a matching piece for her other foot, so watch this space for another sweet animal.

I finally finished the eagle/ worm piece on Matt and hes decided to continue the theme around the rest of his upper arm. As you can see (above) we've made a start on the next edition and continuing it this weekend. Really am enjoying this unusual theme and i'm sure theres a load more worms to come....

A Sneek Peek

Heres a little sneek peek of a new drawing i'm currently working on. Once complete, she will be up for sale so if you may be interested in buying her then please send me an email :)

Tattooing Matts...

Heres a couple of tattoos i have done recently on two friends, both named Matt :) Thanks guys!
The skull at the top is my first black and grey piece which i tattooed on the inside of the upper arm. I had the same area tattooed recently and it was pretty ouchy!
The Eagle is a work in progress from the design you may have seen earlier on in my blog.

Learning Learning Learning...

Massive thanks to Chris for donating me an entire leg to practice on! We decided to start off with a lovely little panther head.

Learning to tattoo is proving to be the hardest thing i've ever done. There are endless factors to take into consideration when you're working and they're always changing. I am never content with my work, tattoos and drawings alike, however this will always cause me to strive for something more.
I am happy to see a slow and gradual improvement in my tattooing ability from when i first started out. I know i still need a lot of guidance....unfortunately i have not had a lot of guidance in my apprenticeship and continue to work through means of trial and error to find out what works and heals best. If any tattooers can offer me any advice of any sort then please get in contact :) it is all much appreciated x

Worm War...?!

Matt approached me with the idea of having this band art tattooed (Right) at the top of his arm. I wasn't a big fan of its sticker like appearance, so i decided to take a risk and adapt the design into a Traditional styled piece, more suitable for tattooing and fitting in with a future sleeve. I unveiled it today (Left) and luckily Matt loves it! A risk well worth taking!

Beautiful Birds, locks and keys...

Today was a pretty productive day :) I got several drawings done, one of which was an awesome custom piece for Nikki, consisting of several girlie pieces for her calf. Perfect.

Unfortunately i will not be tattooing this design as its far too big and complicated for my apprentice tattooing. However i am happy to do custom designs for people, so if you're interested, please send me an email :)

Also, please respect my friends and clients by using these designs for influential purposes only. Its not cool to steal other people's tattoos. Create originality! Thanks x

Love That Lasts A Lifetime

Love Lost

I finished this piece at 8am this morning! I just couldn't bare to lie in bed any longer with an unfinished drawing on my mind....

My Blog...

In the past I have been very cautious and guarded when it has come to setting up a public blog. This is because certain individuals have taken more than just inspiration from my work, my personal tattoos and even my lifestyle. Unfortunately these incidents have caused me to hide away behind the privacy settings of social networking sites, until now that is!
I have created this blog in order to display my work, my interests and my experiences with friends i have and friends i am yet to meet :)
Please only use my work as inspiration for your own creativity! Develop your own personal style and respect all the artistic trades.

Ocean Waves

I am antisocial.
I spent my day locked away in my room until i literally lost my mind.
My mission was to create a quirky design with more detail and elegance than my previous designs....and i ended up with this lady. I cannot wait to add some depth and shading to bring her to life!
Also, i have almost finished another piece which will be up tomorrow so watch this space...

Daggers And Death

On Thursday i designed this skull and dagger tattoo for Ashley. He feels that roses will make him look feminine, sooooo i tried to make this as manly as possible even with the floral elements....i hope i have succeeded!

I'm A Nightmare...

I have a really bad habit of designing lots of pieces and never completing them. Instead they exist only on the tracing paper stuck to the walls of my room. Here are just a few examples.... I am getting there though :) Rabbit hearted girl is next to be completed! I Swear...

Apprentice Tattoos...

I have been a part time Apprentice for about 7 months. I started off working on pig skin to get used to the feel of the machines and simple techniques. Since then i have practiced on lots of willing friends and customers! Not many people want Kanji these days so its hard to complete and master simple pieces... most my practice comes in the form of roses (as you can never have too many!) and above are a couple of my latest pieces.

Skull...

I think most the people i know associate my art work with tattoos, after all it has been a long time since i created a portrait! So i decided to go all out on a realistic study! Hello skull.

Custom Designs....

I do a lot of custom traditional designs in the Shop for customers and friends. Guy asked me to design him 2 thigh pieces, based on traditional Gypsys - one alive, one in skull form. One side is complete...just working on the matching piece. Hopefully one day i will be able to tattoo them...although i am a long way from doing pieces of this size and complexity!

Eye Hate Life

It had been a while since i had used my pencils to create some realistic studies....so i decided to doodle before committing to a larger piece...its a rubbish photo, but you get the idea.

Design work...

These designs have all been influenced by Bee :) and they all happen to belong to him now!
I love doing neo-traditional, tattoo inspired designs. Watch this space for many more to come....

Some old pieces of work....

These 2 pencil drawings were completed a couple of years ago and are A3 in size.
I really love photorealism and am always trying to improve my work... Its a big task but worth it in the end :)
